Auctions

An auction is a process of buying and selling goods or services by offering them up for bid, taking bids, and then selling the item to the highest bidder. The open ascending price auction is arguably the most common form of auction in use today. Participants bid openly against one another, with each subsequent bid required to be higher than the previous bid.

Select a website

• Go to website manager

• Select websites

• Select the website you would like to use for the auction

• Click on the settings

Find the K-Auctions app

• Click on the find more apps button

Installing K-Auctions application

• Look for the K-auctions application and click on it

• Click on the install button and wait for it to sate it has installed

How to create an Auction

• Go to Products & Stores

• Select and click, Auctions

• Create an Auction by clicking on the create new auction button

• Add a title to the auction

• Select a website you want the auction to view on

• Define the auction type

• Add the start and end date + time for the auction

• Click on the create auction button to process your auction details

Edit your Auction

The next step
You will need to add the information and pictures to the auction

• Click on the Manage button to edit the auction

Add details to the product you Auctioning

Add the details for:

• Define the status of the auction

• Select a website you want the auction to view on

• Choose a reward store the auction can function off for debiting points from a bidder

• Select a starting value for the product you want to auction

• Add the start and end date + time for the auction

• Click on the add image button to add the picture of the product

• Add a description of the product

• Add the body text for the product
  - this will be seen by users when viewing the auction

• Save

Add groups or organisations to the auction

• Click on the Add/remove groups button
  -add the groups who will be able to take place in the auction

• Add an organisation if required

• Save

Selecting the page you want the auction to view on

• Go to content

• Click on edit web pages

• Decide if you want the auction to be viewed on a template or webpage

• Click on the edit button

Adding the Auction component

• Add a container so the "display coming up auction" component can be added

• In the component toolbar, select the auction app

• Drop and drag the component onto the webpage

Click the checkbox to view the product description to the auction 

Testing the auction

Login as a user

• Go to groups & users

• Select a user that is in the Auction group

• Login as that user

Auction is live, viewing and working

This user has 12,180 reward points and is able to use them in this particular Auction,
when you place a bid, Kademi will automatically take points off for a temporary while, until the Auction has timed out and finished, then the points will be debited from the user.
